The Softie Cowl is designed to use a full skein of Silky Fluff, a soft-as-air brushed silk/merino yarn. Knit on larger needles, this DK-weight project is perfect for a quick treat or gift.

Yarn: 1 skein Firebird Yarns Silky Fluff (70/30 Mulberry Silk/Merino; 219yd/200m, 1.74oz/50g). Any DK or Worsted-weight brushed yarn could be substituted.

Needles: circular 16” (40cm) US9 (5.5mm), or size to make a fabric you like.
You will need an additional circular needle several sizes down for the folded hem. We suggest a US6 (4mm), but the specific size is not important.

Notions: a tapestry needle, one stitch marker.

Gauge: gauge isn’t super important in this pattern; it’s more important that you like the fabric being made.
