The Solar Flare Wrap is a warm, generously sized triangular crochet wrap designed to keep you cosy through the colder months. Worked from the centre of the long edge, the wrap gradually grows outwards to create a beautifully balanced triangle that drapes comfortably over the shoulders. Wear it wrapped around your back and fastened at the front, or draped across the front and secured behind for a different look.
The stitch pattern uses only double and treble crochet stitches (UK terms), making the design accessible while creating plenty of texture. Front-loop and back-loop trebles, post stitches and carefully placed popcorn stitches combine to add subtle depth and interest without becoming repetitive.
To make the pattern easy to follow, I recommend using a stitch marker to identify the centre stitch throughout the project, and stitch counts are provided for the first 12 rows to help you build confidence as the wrap grows. The pattern is written in English and includes both UK and US terminology.
