Solely Stripes is a fun take on socks for people who prefer their socks to look ordinary yet unique at the same time. Looking at the socks from the front, they are simple socks in plain Stockinette stitch with contrast coloured cuff, heel and toe. The unique feature is somewhat hidden on the sole: stripes worked in Intarsia in the Round technique.

These socks are worked from the cuff down with a heel flap and gusset. Parts like cuff, leg and toe and ‘interim rounds’ between the stripes on the sole are worked in the round. However, the main feature are the stripes solely on the sole, worked in intarsia in the round technique. The stripes in the pattern are 4 rows wide, but they can be worked to any desired width.

A detailed tutorial with pictures to explain the intarsia in the round technique is included in the pattern.
