Solid granny square
This free crochet pattern lets you create a solid granny square which you can make as big as you like and use for blankets or Afghans and various other crochet projects.
It begins with a magic circle (or an optional chain alternative) and builds into a textured square using a series of double crochets and front post double crochets, working in the round. Great for beginners and more experienced crocheters alike.
I have included a full video tutorial to the pattern to help you along.
The finished square can also be transformed into charming crochet chicken by following an additional tutorial.
