Soliloquy Socks allow self-patterning and Indy-dyed yarns to speak for themselves. The simplicity of the stitch pattern and afterthought heel allow the yarn design to continue uninterrupted, making this a great choice for all of your beautiful yarn!

Soliloquy Socks are worked top-down in the round using the Magic Loop method and can be easily adapted to work two-at-a-time. DPNs are also an option, if preferred. A 1x1 rib cuff gives way to a stockinette sock with a wedge toe. The sock is knit from cuff to toe with heel stitches held on waste yarn to avoid interruption any yarn patterning. The heel stitches are returned to the needles at the end to create an afterthought heel. Contrast color yarn can be used for the cuff, heel, and wedge toe.

Please note that measurements are finished dimensions. Socks are frequently knit with negative ease (slightly smaller than the actual foot circumference).

Please verify gauge. Modifying the gauge will change the finished dimensions of the socks.

Sock height and length may be adjusted as desired by adjusting the number of rows worked before or after the heel. Although the pattern uses standard foot sizing, no shoe sizes have been mentioned to encourage customization to fit the wearer. Note that lengthening any part of the sock may require additional yarn.
