Solmu beanie
Solmu beanie is an easy knit with a cable in front. It is knitted in DK yarn which will keep you warm even in a colder climate. The beanie can be used in several ways according to your style. Roll it short and show the cable on your forehead or let the tip of the beanie hang loose on your back of your head. The cable will look identical on the right and wrong side of the beanie. You are free to choose your style!
Pattern has three sizes S(M,L). The beanie is worn tight, with lots of negative ease.
The photos show size S on an adult head of 54 cm, with 10 cm of negative ease.
The yarn used is La Bien Aimée merino DK 100% superwash merino (230metres / 252yards = 115g), 1 skein in colorway Madeleine.
You need 160 (180, 200) metres for the beanie.
The gauge is 25 sts in twisted ribbing with 4mm needles = 10 cm, unblocked. When blocked and stretched, the gauge will extend to 18 sts in twisted ribbing with 4mm needles = 10 cm.
Enjoy your knitting!
