Solstice Cap
The Solstice Cap begins with a clean, twisted rib stitch and is knitted from the brim up. The colorwork pattern is just a wee bit spicy to keep the knitting interesting. Yarn requirements include the pom pom. You could skip it - but I wouldn’t.

Gauge
23 stitches and 28 rounds= 4” in the colorwork chart knitted in the round on larger needles and blocked. To swatch for this pattern, you should CO a multiple of 8 (48 sts would be my recommendation) and join to work in the round. Work one of the two colorwork charts included for 4.”
Suggested Needles*
US Size 3 / 3.25 mm circular needle, for the brim ribbing, or one size smaller than hat body needle.
US Size 4 / 3.5mm 16” / 40 cm for the hat body.
4 Double pointed needles of the same sizes suitable for small circumference knitting.
Always choose the needle size that you need in order to obtain the pattern’s gauge.
