Solstice Glow kerchief
Either with the glow of summer or of winter, enjoy this Solstice as our Earth seems to pause at the extreme of its orbit.
Place all 8 Solstice Glow patterns in your cart and use code pre-book. The full set is $29.99 (previously purchased items apply).
This is a pattern for a kerchief using the Fair Isle knitting technique and worked in the round, from the point up and using a steek. Once the steek is prepared and cut, the top edge is bound off using an i-cord bind off. The steeked edge is finished with a simple crocheted shell motif. There are 4 animal motifs to choose from: horse, pig, chicken, and goose.
Embroidery and Duplicate stitch embellishments may be added (a few details are given as to how the sample included these accents).
There are a number of long floats and some stranded colourwork knitting experience is helpful, in addition to basic crochet knowledge.

28 sts x 28 rows = 4in/10cm measured over stranded stockinette on larger needles
Some knitters work stranded and single-coloured at different gauges. Change needles, as needed, to keep gauge the same throughout.
If your gauge is different your motif may look slightly different from sample; it is more important to get a gauge that is in proportion to the suggested (ie a factor of 1).

needle to weave in ends, st markers
