Somerville Sweater
The Somerville Sweater is a timeless and classic garment that will be a treasured wardrobe item for years to come.
A variety of colour options are suggested, or choose from the Desert Garden Aran Cotton collection.
Knitted with Desert Garden Aran Cotton yarn, containing cotton and microfibre. The finished fabric is silky soft and very cuddly to wear. The shaping is classic, with room to move. Sleeve and neck shaping combine to flatter most figure types. Desert Garden Aran Cotton is very washable and may be dried in a warm dryer with success. A very durable fabric.
This pattern offers 3 options, all based on the same classic bodice shaping. There are two sleeved options, one full length with rolled edge cuff and the other 3/4 length with a rib cuff. The sleeves are interchangeable, so if knitting Version 1, the full length version 3 sleeve may be used in place of the 3/4 sleeve. Similarly, if knitting the sleeveless version 2, the full length or 3/4 sleeves may be added.
The garment worn by the model is the small size. Recommend choosing a smaller fit as the fabric has plenty of ‘give’.
