Song Thrush is a crescent shaped shawl and is available in S, M and L sizes. It features a fancy yet uncomplicated edge, an airy lace section, and columns of cable stitches ending in stitch buds. The shawl is worked from the bottom up. Therefore, when your first excitement about the new project diminishes, you have visibly fewer and fewer stitches to work on each row.

Use fingering yarn for the same effect as in the sample shawl. If you work from DK weight according to S size instructions, you can make a big warm shawl for cold seasons. The shawl has to be blocked to shape, so make sure you choose yarn that holds blocking well.

The yarn suggestions are based on the recommendations of test knitters who worked shawls from these yarns.
