I, like so many others, had begun working on Dedri’s CAL Sophie’s Universe from Look What I Made. The possibilities swam through my head on how this beautiful pattern could be adapted. So many talented crocheters have shared their variations in online Facebook groups and the like. The possibilities seem innumerable.

And then my beautiful daughter, exasperated with all of the WIP’s surrounding me, reminded me that I had promised her a circular vest nearly two years ago. She asked me when I might get around to it - as she does every few months or so. So I had her pick out the yarn she wanted (Red Heart Boutique, Unforgettable in Stained Glass) and committed myself to getting that done, setting aside my other projects. This was the result.

This pattern is written in US terms. It is worked in the round. A lighter worsted weight yarn is suggested. Choosing a fiber with a good drape is advised.

Finished measurements are approximately 34” (86.36cm) in diameter, with Sophie portion measuring approximately 22” (55.88cm)
