Hoods are a big hit with most children! Our Sotra Set includes mittens and a hood. The hood is inspired by the classic hoodie pullover, but the Sotra Hood doesn’t take up much space under your winter coat. The set is knitted with two strands of Merino yarn in three matching colors - and is therefore warm without being the least bit scratchy.

How to knit the set
Sotra Hood and Mittens are knitted in stockinette stitch and stripes. The pattern is knitted with two threads of Merino held together throughout the pattern. The hood is knitted top-down, first a panel is knitted on the top of the hood, then stitches are gathered along the sides. The hood is finished with a drawstring with I-cord and rib in both shoulder slits. On the mittens, a contrasting thread is knitted in where the thumb is to be knitted on. The mittens are finished with decreases and then the thumb is finished.
