The design:
Soul Flame is a highly textured zen garden inspired square motif. It consists of 8 rounds. Soul Flame is an intermediate level pattern that requires a little concentration but the pattern will be come easier after completing a couple of motifs.

Materials needed:
Soul Flame was designed using 8 ply/DK weight Makr Cotton. Each motif used 60m (35m of the centre colour and 26m of outer colour) and is 19cm wide.
You can however use any weight yarn you like, meterage and size will vary.

Stitch markers.
Wool/darning needle.

Recommended Hook size:
3-3.5 mm for 4ply
3.5-4 mm for 8ply
4-4.5mm for 10ply
6-6.5 mm for 12 ply.
Or hook appropriate for your chosen yarn weight

Pm: Place marker
Dc: Double crochet
Sc: Single Crochet
Tr: Treble Crochet
Bl: Back loop
Fp: Front Post
V st: dc1, ch1, dc1 in the same st
Puff st: see stitch tips
Ruffle st:see stitch tips
Ch: chain
Skp: Skip stitch
Sl st: Slip stitch
Ch-sp: Chain space
