Soy Socks
YARN, GAUGE AND MACHINE: Tofutsies yarn from Southwest Trading Company yields a guage of 8 stitches and 13.3 rows per inch on the standard bed machine at stitch size 5. Passaps can follow the pattern by matching gauge at approximately stitch size 4. This pattern does not require a ribber Passap knitters may find it easiest to use the back bed as the main bed. There is not a bulky soy sock yarn readily available. To make bulky socks, run 2-3 strands of Tofutsies yarn together as one. If you choose to do so, aim for the the gauge and follow the stitch and row numbers given for the pattern Socks to Dye For in the same book.
SIZE: ladies size 6-14, men 4-12 in US shoe sizing.
