The top is worked from the bottom up. The body is first knitted in the round to create a simple tube. Once the body reaches the desired length, the stitches are divided into four sections.
Each section is then worked separately to form four triangles — two for the front and two for the back. These triangles shape the upper part of the top and create the shoulder straps.
The triangles are worked flat in rows, with decreases used to gradually shape them toward the top.
