This is a pattern for a net hair bun cover. The net looks like a spider net, and the pattern includes instructions for crocheting a small spider and attaching it to the net.

The net is shaped so no additional hardware is needed to attach it to the hair bun. The ruffle at the edge of the net and the spider on top are optional.

The pattern is written for three sizes: Size Small fits a 2 inch diameter bun, size Medium fits a 3 - 3 1/2 inch diameter bun, and size Large fits a 4 - 5 inch diameter bun. As a general guideline, Small will fit a young child or somebody with very fine hair, Medium should fit most, and Large will fit somebody with very thick or long hair. If made in lace weight yarn instead of thread, the item will have more stretch and a more forgiving fit – each size will be able to stretch over more hair.
