Instructions are given for three versions - Half Hexagon, Full Hexagon, and Fichu (half hexagon, center only). Fichu version is beaded.
Pattern Description from Victorian Lace Today: “Victorian houses were undoubtedly full of spiders, and unlike today, people probably saw them as a help to reducing the fly population. The concept of a spider’s web shawl evolved from a pattern around the end of the century.”

- Full Hexagon: 72”
- Fichu (half hexagon, center only) 42” x 20”

Needles:
- 4.5mm/US 7, 5mm/US 8, 5.5mm/US 9, and 6mm/US 10, circulars or size to obtain gauge, 60 cm (24”) or longer
- Four (two), 4.5mm/US 7 double-pointed needles
- 5.5mm/I crochet hook
