The capelet pattern came about when I wanted to make something that was more airy and delicate than the sweaters and ponchos I had been knitting all winter. The design is a combination of a simple scarf and a circular poncho. Simple shaping at the shoulders keeps its relaxed and drapey enough to fit anyone, but the lace stitch and pom-pom ties make it a fancy, girly, vintage-inspired accessory.”
