Spiralsea
Spiralsea is a warm and cosy triangle with bold oceanic lines, designed to hug the body and keep out even the sharpest sea winds.
Squishy Aran yarn makes the mosaic knit up surprisingly quickly, and the pattern is simple enough to memorise after the first few repeats. The shawl is worked in relaxing striped garter, with the spiral pattern formed by slipped sts, and some sneaky slight of hand at the edges for shaping purposes.
-
The pattern can be repeated to any size, and worked entirely from written pattern, or from the charts with some notes.
-
Suits heavy fingering up to Aran weight yarn in any yardage between approx 400 and 1000m. Sample shown in Aran.
-
It is ideal for showing off two contrasting or complementary skeins, or try a solid paired with a long-run stripe or a gradient yarn for dynamic results.
