Splays
Splays is a matched set of elbow-length arm warmers and scarf with channels of eyelets ending in pleats. The pleats on the arm warmers cover the back of the hand for warmth while leaving the palm exposed. The arm warmers start flat with the pleats and then the work is joined in the round and the sleeves are knit. The scarf uses lifted increases to create pleats at the end that visually match the pleats at the start.
