The Story
After sharing the news with my Dad that my husband and I would be moving from Southern California to the Pacific Northwest, he said “Hey - you’re splitting the distance”. He was referring to the distance between our home at the time, and the home I grew up in, in Alberta, Canada. So this cowl which, to my eye, looks like a number of arrows pointing the way North, is an homage to my Dad’s excitement about our closer proximity.
Notes
- This cowl is worked flat with a provisional cast-on and grafted closed at the end. Written and charted instructions are provided for the entirety of the cowl. See Page 4 for charts.
- Adjust needle size as necessary to match gauge.
- Instructions are given for size Small with instruction for size Large in parentheses. When only one set of instructions is given, it applies to both sizes.
- This cowl best fits a 24-inch circular needle however the user may substitute longer or shorter needles for comfort.
- Although gauge is not critical for this project, a looser gauge than noted will result in the use of more yardage.
