24 sts over 4 inches use the needles required to get gauge

2 skeins of fingering weight yarn (approx 400 yards) one in a main colour and one in a contrast color.

Finished dimensions (your row gauge may change the height you get on the cowl)

Short cowl
Small 18 inches circumference, 8.75 tall
Large 22.5 circumference 8.75 inches tall

Tall cowl
Small 18 inches circumference, 10.75 inches tall
Large 22.5 inches in circumference, 10.75 tall
