Spring Flowers
There are many ways to manipulate knitting so that it makes pretty petal shapes. This one is so simple. It starts with a few rows of knitting, then the left needle is twisted one full turn. Used with yarn, this technique makes a soft dome shape; with wire it becomes a wonderfully rounded petal edging. The rest of the flower is simple decreasing. If a second piece is coiled and stitched to the first your knitting becomes a dainty spring flower, which looks a bit like a Camelia.
