This pretty hat and mitt set is accented with a lace pattern showing the first new leaves of spring pushing up from the soil. The leaves stand out against a background of reverse stockinette stitch.
A few rows of ribbing at the bottom and top provide a snug fit. Two sizes are provided in the pattern: S/M and M/L.
This set is the perfect project for that special skein of hand-dyed yarn.

Finished Size of Mitts:
Smaller size will fit a hand 17.5 - 20 cm (7- 8 inches) around. Larger mitts will fit a hand between 20–22.5 cm (8 - 9 inches) around. Mitts are 17.5 cm/7 inches long.

Finished size of Hat:
Hat pattern is written for S/M to fit an average sized teen/adult head - 45-50 cm (18-20 inches), and M/L for a larger head or looser fit - 50-58 cm (20-23 inches).

Skills required:
Simple lace, knitting in the round, increases and decreases.
