Spruce Harbor is a sleek, asymmetrical triangular scarf worked on the bias. The plush garter stitch is edged with I-cord, and the color blocking lets you play with as many or as few colors as you like.

The finished measurements are a wingspan of 70” and a center back of 13.5” after blocking. The sample was gently steam-blocked. You can certainly be more aggressive in your blocking and make the scarf larger and more open.

The directions are written for sport weight yarn on a US size 7 (4.5mm) needle, specifically chickadee by quince&co.

You can use any weight of yarn with the appropriate needle (for example, if using fingering weight yarn, I would suggest a US size 5 (3.75mm) needle, and any combinations of colors.

The number of skeins and total yards used will change if a different yarn is used.

The I-cord edging is worked as you work the scarf and then as an I-cord bind off.

The sample shown uses one skein each of chickadee in Aleutian, Kumlien’s Gull, Iceland and Honey.

The skill level is Advanced Beginner.
