This modern rectangular wrap has beautiful fairisle squirrels in an oak tree surrounded by acorns detail and a lovely moss (seed) stitch border around the entire wrap.

The blocked final measurements of the wrap are width 17.5” (44.5cm) by length 62” (157.5cm).

The wrap is knit with fingering weight yarn, 4 skeins of Mechita, Malabrigo (100% merino wool, fingering weight), 100 grams/420 yards (384 meters) in:
- 2 skeins (768m (840 yards) total) of Water Green 083
(MC – Main Colour)
- 1.5 skeins (576m (630 yards) total) of Glitter 048
(CC – Contrast Colour)

There are endless potential great colour combinations in this beautiful yarn!

Fairisle should be worked in the stranded method and long floats of more than 3 sts should be ‘caught’ to avoid large loops on the back side (WS). The pattern includes charts for the fairisle sections of the wrap.

The wrap is knitted flat with 3mm (2.5US) needles in stockinette (knit on right side, purl on wrong side) except for the moss (seed) stitch borders. It is worked as two identical pieces from the right and left far ends to the centre. The two pieces are grafted together using Kitchener Stitch to create a seamless join. Other joining methods can be used however Kitchener Stitch is recommended as this will create a seamless join.

Hope you enjoy the pattern! Happy knitting!
