The Squishy hat is a textured beanie with a little slouch, designed as a companion piece to the Squishy cowl available here.
Just like the cowl, this is a speedy knit in one skein of bulky yarn – perfect for a gift!
Textured columns in the hat body flow upwards into an interesting crown design. The stitch pattern is suitable for advanced beginners as well as experienced knitters. (The pattern pdf contains links to online tutorials for techniques used.)
The wrong side of the hat is attractive, so it’s reversible. You can see the hat better in my Instagram video here
Blocking is optional. You may choose to block to open up the eyelets a bit, or simply skip it for a more textured look.
The bobble on the crown adds a fun whimsical touch – and you can remove it if you like!
