Sometimes we don’t want wool socks. Stained Glass Socks are knitted using Bre-Aly Cotton Threads. This classically beautiful design contains the vibrant colors that reflect light in our favorite stained glass windows. I created a tweed blend using Bre-Aly Cotton Threads, and combined with Brenda’s Fortified Black 3-ply Solid, your knitting results in a pair of socks that show off the panes and arches of the stained glass design. Add a little elastic thread to the cuff to preserve the shape of the socks. Perfect for all-season wear, for those who have problems wearing wool, and for those who live in warmer climates. Want the sock a little less snug? Simply go up a needle size or two.
