Pattern Blurb
The Stained Glass Sweater grew from my love of bold colour work and the clean geometry of mosaic crochet. I wanted to create a garment that felt modern and wearable while still showcasing dramatic contrast and texture. The sleeves use inset mosaic crochet to form the “brick” of the stained‑glass effect. The yoke and sleeves rely on intarsia — meaning you’ll be working with more than one skein at a time. This is the main reason the pattern is labelled intermediate, but I’ve included clear charts, explanations, and photos to support you throughout.

After completing the yoke, you’ll work a set of short rows at the back of the neckline. This small detail makes a big difference in comfort and fit, helping the sweater sit naturally on the body without riding up at the front.

To keep the stained‑glass effect crisp and defined, choose two colours with strong contrast — this is essential for the design to shine. The sweater is designed with approximately ±5 cm of ease.

I hope you enjoy the rhythm of the stitches, the play of colour, and the satisfaction of watching the stained‑glass motif come to life.
