Standing Waves
Standing Waves is a top-down triangular shawl that uses two contrasting colours to create a gentle wave effect.
Yarn: Fingering Weight Yarn. 430 yds/100g of the main colour, 430 yds/100g of a contrasting colour.
Needles: Size US 4/3.5 mm (40”/100 cm circular recommended)
Notions: stitch markers & darning needle
Gauge (measured over garter stitch after blocking): 25 sts and 44 rows = 4”/ 10cm. Gauge is not critical for this project, but may result in a different yardage requirement.
Finished Measurements: Wingspan - 52”/ 132cm, Depth - 19”/ 48cm
Techniques: Knitting, purling, increasing, decreasing, garter tab cast-on, suspended bind off.
