Stappen-socks can be knitted either cuff down or toe up. Stranded pattern is knitted both on instep and sole. The heel is worked with sections of short rows with main colour.

Yarn

Fingering weight yarn in two colours, app. 40-60 g of MC and 15-25 g of CC. The sample socks were knitted with Hjertegarn Armonia Superfine Merino (75% Merino, 25% Nylon, 200 m / 219 yds per 50 g) in colourways 434 Light Grey (MC) and 5136 Mustard (CC). The socks (size M) have 6 pattern repeats and used 50 g of MC and 15 g of CC.
