Star of the Snow socks
`Star of the snow' flower, better known as the Edelweiss is the inspiration behind this colourwork sock pattern which was originally designed as part of the 'work-along' for the Swiss yarn festival.
These socks are knit from the cuff down with a ribbed cuff, an eye of partridge heel-flap and gusset and has a section of colourwork on the leg, followed by a simple ribbed stitch pattern on the foot.
To fit (foot circumference): 19 - 21 (21.5 –23.5, 25.5 – 27.5) cm / 8 (9, 10 ½) inches
Finished leg circumference for colourwork: 17.5 (21, 24.5) cm / 7 (8, 9 ½) inches
Recommended ease: Approximately 2.5cm (1 inch) of negative ease for colourwork.
Foot length is easily adjustable.
