If you have longer hair and like to wear fun accessories, the Starband is for you! This functional knitted piece was designed using a beautiful star rib mesh pattern in the center panel. It is surrounded on both edges by garter stitches to help hold the headband in place. You can adjust the button band to ensure a perfect fit too!

The weight of the yarn is great for wearing year round and with the adjustable button sizing, you could make a Starband for all the teen and adult women in your life. They knit up super fast and make excellent gifts. The lace pattern is an easy one to master and the Starband will fly off your needles!

The blue Starband shown in the sample photos is knitted using 60 yards of Classic Elite Wool Bam Boo. The white Starband shown in the Ravelry picture samples is knitted using 60 yards of Elsebeth Lavold Silky Wool.

Note about yarn/gauge: Because this headband is knit as a long strip, you can use a thinner or thicker weight of yarn and follow the pattern. If you use a thinner weight, your headband will not be as wide and if you use a thicker weight your headband will be wider. Regardless of yarn weight/gauge, you should follow all the length instructions to get the proper circumference.
