FINISHED SIZE:

• length of the toy along with the ring is ~6” (15 cm)
• diameter of the starfish is ~3” (7.5 cm).

I use yarn YarnArt «JEANS» (55% cotton, 45% acrylic; 174 yards/50g) and 2.5 mm hook.

Following this pattern you can make a starfish as an element of nursing necklace, part of the baby crib mobile or stroller chain, just use finer cotton yarn, for instance Vita Coco or Alpina Sati and 1.25-1.5 mm crochet hook. When I use Vita Coco I end up with a starfish that is approx. 5.5 cm in diameter.
