Introducing my STARFLOWER SUPER SCARF pattern!!

Super scarves are all the rage right now, and I can see why - who doesn’t want to envelope themselves in all of this knitted goodness?

While a lot of patterns out there are super bulky or over-the-top silly, I tried to create a pattern that drapes softly, and looks chic and lovely while still giving you all of the fun of an extra long scarf!

At about 13.5” wide and 122” long with the fringe, and knit in the unique entrelac technique, this beauty definitely puts the ‘Super’ in Super Scarf.

Another great feature of my pattern is that the ‘wrong’ side of the scarf is just as beautiful as the ‘right’ side - just check out the last photo.

If you don’t want a super long scarf, this pattern can also be used to make a regular length scarf, and the pattern includes a stopping point for both a regular scarf, and a super scarf, but really the choice is yours! Stop knitting when you like the length and work the last section of the scarf :-)

Entrelac knitting is a knitting technique that results in the diamond shapes that you can see in the pictured scarf. It basically requires knitting, purling, k2tog, and p2tog as well as picking up stitches. I have used photos in as many places as I could throughout the pattern to try and help give a visual of how this technique works for less experiences knitters. In the Beginner version of the pattern, I also offer tips that I find helpful when working Entrelac as well as row by row instructions where needed instead of shortcut instructions.

The scarf as shown was done using a self-striping yarn. When using a self-striping yarn, the color changes actually look as if you knit the triangles and rectangles in different color yarns. It is so much fun to work this pattern and watch your beautiful scarf emerge as you knit :-)

This purchase includes 2 PDFs. The one labeled ‘Beginner’ has each row written out completely with no shortcuts in language, etc. There is also a ‘helpful hints’ section as well as more photos throughout the listing to make this pattern as simple as possible to follow for knitters that don’t have a lot of projects under their belts. The one labeled ‘Advanced’ has all of that extra stuff removed and is therefore shorter. You will have access to both versions with your purchase.
