Stargazer Sweater
Named after my favorite flower, an Asian lily, this pattern is so simple that even those with the most basic skills can finish it! The appeal of this piece is that the entire sweater is made from four rectangles, and therefore requires no shaping whatsoever. If you can knit, purl and pick up stitches, you can make this sweater! The rectangles forming the sleeves are overlapped and joined to the bodice horizontally. When worn, the sleeves ingeniously form a pretty V-neck with a wrap effect. For those with a hatred of finishing work, or those looking to add a little more flair to their knitting, Stargazer can be made almost seamless by knitting the second version, which picks up stitches from the bottom of the sleeves and knits the bodice in the round, top down.
