Stash Yarn Daffodil Flower
A free version is also available.
Quick and easy pattern for a daffodil flower that you can use as a brooch, keyring, hairclip - or add a stem to make a realistic flower bouquet.
For each crochet daffodil flower, you will need:
Yarn:
Oddments of double knitting (light worsted weight) as follows:
Approximately 5g oddments of White or Yellow, for each flower head. Cotton yarn works really well.
Hook: 3mm (US D/3).
Extras: For flower head: Wool needle; stitch marker; tin of spray starch to stiffen.
For optional stem: Florists wire; chenille sticks; florists tape (green shade; small pliers to cut wire (search online for floral arrangement tool kit).
Depending on how you will use your flower, you may also need a brooch back, hair clip or headband, wreath frame, or keyring fob.
Tension or Gauge: Not critical for this project because it doesn’t matter if your heart turns out a different size.
Finished Size: Using double knitting yarn (light worsted weight) and 3mm (US D/3) hook, approximately 10cm across flower (after blocking); stem length is approximately 22-23cm, which is also adjustable.
