Pattern description from Crazy Aunt Purl’s Drunk, Divorced, and Covered in Cat Hair: “This is a fast and easy knitted flower pin pattern, suitable for a beginning knitter. You can make a pin or use them to decorate purses, hats, and scarves. One skein of yarn will yield several flowers. This pattern is great for using up partial skeins, stash, or that stray ball of novelty yarn you found under the couch or in the cat bed.”

Ingredients:

  • Flower Base: 1 skein of worsted or heavy worsted-weight yarn. Exact gauge is not important, but should be roughly 4-5 stitches per inch. Use size 7 or 8 single point needles, crochet hook for finishing; tapestry/yarn needle; craft pin back (if making into a brooch) to complete this project.
  • Beaded Decoration: Beading needle (very thin); clear nylon thread; five freshwater pearl or other beads.
