Inspired by vintage blankets woven on old looms, this is a blanket to snuggle up in anywhere. Our fantasy is to have one in the trunk of the car, ready for impromptu picnics at scenic overlooks.

Knit in modular blocks for portability, the blanket is assembled using the 3-needle bindoff, our favorite technique for a neat join. In this case, the seams become a part of the design, adding to the plaid effect created by all those syncopated stripes lining up against each other.

Easily modified by adding or subtracting blocks.

P.S. Dogs like blankets, especially if they have a touch of mohair.
