Status Quo
Skills Used:
- crochet chain cast-on
- slipped stitches (for tube selvedge)
- basic cables
- dealing with cable splay
- following charts
- bind-off in pattern
Pattern Notes:
To prevent cable splay, the scarf begins with casting on a smaller number of stitches that are increased in the 1st row and decreased back before bind-off.
If you find cable increases difficult, you may replace them with a pair of any “solid”, non-open increases of your choice:
- kfb, kfb
- k1, m1, k1, m1, and m1, k1, m1, k1
- k1, LLinc, k1, LLinc, and LRinc, k1, LRinc, k1
- k1, kfbf, and kfbf, k1
- etc.
UPDATES
Note 11-Feb-2013: Pattern update available: cable increases revised (thanks to Jen)
