Stellarium
You really can’t go wrong with a few skeins of an ombre yarn, can you? Especially if that yarn is inspired by none other than Vincent Van Gogh and his infamous Starry Night painting! I wanted to explore something different with this design, though, in a way that didn’t compete with the colorway.
Simple stitches paired with a slightly unconventional shape creates a design that can effortlessly showcase a stunning ombre speckled yarn like this just as easily as it can be your next favorite stashbuster pattern! Allow yourself to go on a journey through space and time, riding along on the waves of color, rippling out into the unknown.
The pattern itself includes a color coded symbol chart in addition to detailed instructions for all special stitches, including the foundation double crochet, extended single crochet, and optional chainless double crochet. Please see photos or my website for a schematic image as well.
STITCHES & TECHNIQUES:
- Single crochet
- Double crochet
- Foundation double crochet (optional)
- Extended single crochet
- Chainless double crochet (optional)
- Increases (defined in pattern)
