Wer mal wieder auf der Suche nach einem “therapeutisch-meditativen” Strickprojekt ist, wie wäre es mit diesem coolen, super großen Poncho-Tuch?! Ideal um sich darin einzuwickeln und super tragbar. Ich habe einige Details des beliebten „Sommernachtstraums“ wiederverwendet, wie zwei unterschiedliche Farbverläufe von Schachenmayr „Tahiti“ kombiniert, einfache Grundmuster, Ringelstreifen in Kraus-Rechts, den Rüschenrand… UND: Dieses Poncho-Tuch mit seiner besonderen Form ist noch größer als der große Sommernachtstraum!

Die vordere Kantenlänge misst jeweils über 120cm, die Länge der hinteren Mitte misst etwa 88cm und das ganze Tuch ist dabei nur etwa 425 g leicht. Von der ersten Farbe (= Farbe für den Glatt-Rechts Bereich und einen Teil der Streifen) werden genau 140g (780m) benötigt, ich habe Tahiti Farbe 7668 Jungle dafür eingesetzt (= Farbe 1). Für die restlichen Streifen und die breite Rüschenborte werden von einer weiteren Farbe 285g (1600m) benötigt, ich habe dafür die Tahiti Farbe 7680 Steppe verwendet (= Farbe 2), da ich im Moment absolut „Grün“-süchtig bin!
Aber die Farben sind natürlich frei wählbar und auch die Größe kann man auch ganz nach Lust & Laune variieren, Tipps dazu in der Anleitung. Es ist nämlich im Original wirklich ein Riesentuch…

To everyone who is looking for a knitting project that is as “therapeutical” as it is “meditative”: how about this super cool, super big Poncho Shawl?! It is ideal to wrap up in and wonderful to wear. I used some details from the well-known „Sundowner Shawl“, as two different colour ways of Schachenmayr’s „Tahiti“, simple basic patterns, stripes in two different colours using garter stitch, and the ruffled edge… AND: This Poncho Shawl with its special shape is even bigger than the big Sundowner Shawl!

The upper edges measure about 120cm each, the depth of the centre back measures about 88 cm and it only weighs around 425 g. I have used exactly 140g (780m) of colour 1 (= colour used in the stockinette stitch part and some of the stripes), I used Schacenmayr Tahiti colour 7668 jungle for this (= colour 1). You will need 285g (1600m) of another colour for the other stripes and the deep ruffled edging. I used Tahiti colour 7680 hurricane (= colour 2), as I am quite “addicted” to all shades of green right now!
You can choose your personal colours and also adjust the size just as you like it. You will find some hints in the instructions. My original shawl really is a giant knitpiece…
