A versatile accessory to wear with both casual and dressy attire, this shrug is perfect for covering the shoulders and upper arms on a cool night without adding bulk. The three-quarter length sleeves and a ribbed sleeve cuff help prevent the shrug from falling off the shoulders. The back peplum adds interest and flow to the back.

The sizes are based on the crossback measurement: XS/S = 14 in, M/L = 16 in, XL/2x = 18 in. I wear a US size 14 and the M/L is still roomy on me. The models in the photographs are US sizes 4 and 6 (guessing) and are also wearing the M/L size.

This $10 pattern comes with a password to a tutorial site that includes step by step directions, photos, and videos of the techniques specifically used in the construction of the shrug, including how to do: provisional cast on, increases, decreases, pick up and knit, short rows, and more.
