Knit this sweater in-the-round on circular needles from the bottom up. Corrugated ribbing is paired with traditional Faroe Island Sticks n Slants color stitch pattern. Starting with the sleeves, which become the gauge swatch, this raglan shape is a soft seamless knit in dk/sport wool. The neck is steeked for the final few inches of knitting, and then the opened steek is enclosed with a hemmed edge.

Sizes (blocked): 38 , 41 ½, 45, 48, 51 ½, 55” finished chest

Gauge: 6 stitches and 6 ¼ rows = 1” in stranded two-color pattern stitch
Row gauge can be adjusted for in the raglan shoulder shaping where it matters most..read ahead

MATERIALS
Soft Tweed wool/alpaca yarn 50 gram/142 yard skeins OR Galway Sport OR Cascade 220 Sport OR Aegean Tweed
In MC (main color), CC1 (slants) and CC2 (sticks)

MC 6, 7, 8 (9, 9, 10) skeins
CC1 1, 1, 2 (2, 2, 2) skeins
CC2 2, 2, 3 (3, 3, 3) skeins

Needles: 32” circular needles: US#2 and #4 OR #3 and #5 (as needed for gauge)
16” circular needles: US#2 and #4 OR #3 and #5 (as needed for gauge)
12” circular needle US#2 and #4 OR #3 and #5 (as needed for gauge) for cuffs and lower sleeves OR double pointed needles
2….. spare circular needles smaller than #5, longer than 12” (for sleeve stitch holders/joining)
7 Double Ended Stitch Holders or thinner circular needles to use as stitch holders
Needle Felting tools: 5 needle punch, single needle punch and brush felting base
Post It Notes/Highlighter Tape/magnetic board (for following charts)
