Still Waters
Under a calm surface lies a world of depth, a silent testament to the unseen complexities and hidden strengths. The Still Waters shawl captures the essence of quiet majesty, reminding us that the deepest truths lie in the simplest things.
Still Waters is an asymmetric triangle shawl with garter stitch and simple eyelets. The lace is worked on the right side only, and there’s no purling. All you need is one skein of fingering weight yarn.
As you knit the Still Waters shawl, the rhythmic and meditative simplicity of each stitch reminds you that in quiet simplicity, we uncover life’s most profound insights.
YARN
One skein of Alpha B Yarn Sexy B (70% baby alpaca, 20% silk, 10% cashmere; 400 m / 437 yds per 100 g). Shown in colour Stainless Steel.
Or approximately 400 m / 437 yds of similar fingering weight yarn.
NEEDLES
Size 4 mm / US 6 needles or size to achieve pattern gauge
Although you work this shawl flat, I recommend using 80 – 100 cm / 32 – 40 inch circular needles to accommodate the growing number of stitches.
Gauge affects the finished size and the amount of yarn needed.
