Stiplu is an easy shawl and perfect if you hate purling – it is totally knitted and does not contain any purl stitches. You can knit a stockinette shawl with circulars and with no purl stitches! This makes it a quick mindless knit. The tassels decorate the shawl to look festive but you can of course leave them out.
Stiplu means a mistake in Finnish that was spoken in Helsinki area in the 70’s. This word has almost disappeared now but I wanted to name the shawl with it because it reminds me of my childhood.
Size of the shawl is about 40 x 140 cm.
Enjoy your knitting!
