Stirlingia
The texture of this rectangular shawl is inspired by dried stirlingia flowers. The pom-pom boarder gives a fun, tactile experience.
This pattern is designed to use 1 yarn cake of 800m. I made mine using Hobbii Cotton Kings Twirls in the colourway 35 (Pink Dragon Agate).
This pattern is suitable for an advanced beginner/intermediate crocheter, and a chart is included for additional support. I used a size 4mm crochet hook, but you could easily go up or down a size depending on your tension. This pattern is available in US and UK terminology. The following stitches are used:
SS - Slip Stitch
Ch - Chain
SC/DC - Single Crochet (US), Double Crochet (UK)
DC/Tr - Double Ctochet (US), Treble Crochet (UK)
Special stitches: V-Stitch, Cluster V-Stitch, Popcorn, and Pom-pom
Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns about the pattern and I will do my best to help out. I would love to see photos of pieces you’ve created using this pattern, so please consider sharing them on social media.
