Stone Glen Granny Square Headband
In May of 2016, Divine Debris came out with The Carly Headband, and I felt so inspired! She used a Granny Stitch pattern worked in the round, but I wanted to create my own version with ties, so I busted out some #10 cotton thread from my stash, and got to working up three round classic granny squares.
Now, I went a little crazy with the design, and alternated with three colors, but I didn’t realize until I put the headband on that only part of it could be seen when my hair was down, so keep this in mind when you pick your colors. Wearing with your hair up will allow more to be seen.
This design was created back before I knew about the Pull Loop Through (PLT) join method, otherwise, I would have chosen this method for joining, but it still came out wonderfully worked using the Join-As-You-Go with single crochets from behind. Alternatively, you could work all the squares up, and whipstitch or mattress stitch together.
If you want more structure to your headband, you could sew on a piece of felt underneath.
