Stone Point is knit flat in two identical pieces. Once complete, the front and back are joined at the shoulders using a 3-needle bind off and the neckband is worked in the round. The garment is easily customizable; you may lengthen the piece by working additional repeats of the Flame Chevron Lace. At the specified gauge, each skein of yarn will work approximately 1.5 repeats (36 rows). You can add additional repeats for width by adding a multiple of 7 sts + 4 sts to the cast on number. Be sure to purchase enough yarn to accommodate your modifications. Unless otherwise noted, slip all markers as you come to them.

USEFUL TIPS:
• For a tutorial on working from charts, visit our Charts Series here.

A note on gauge: The combination of the cotton content and the lacey stitch means that this fabric will grow considerably when blocked. BE SURE TO WET BLOCK YOUR SWATCH. I used 3 skeins to knit the front, 3 for the back, and the final (7th) skein to work the neck. The poncho will look short before you block it, but if you go by your blocked swatch gauge you will be aok.
