Stone Wall Throw
This blanket is knit on bias, from one corner to the other. It has seed stitch outlining “bricks”.
Note: this pattern is intended for a thick and thin yarn. If you substitute regular yarn, you will probably find that the “jogs” in the bricks are painfully noticable. The jogs keep the bricks parallel to the borders of the blanket and are difficult to spot even when looking for them in gruesa, but they stand out in even thickness yarn.
Being knit on bias, it is very wide in the middle, and you will want a circular needle that is at least 60 inches long. The centre rows will be 90 inches long as you knit them!
The instructions are written out line by line, and there is also a big chart showing every single stitch. I doubt anyone will want to knit from the chart as the boxes are too small, but it will be helpful if you want to get the big picture of what is going on. This blanket involves a lot of counting, but I think the end result is well worth it.
